NSPA – 120mm Mortar System for VAMTAC ST5 Vehicle (FBO 26LMS030)

Summary

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has issued an advance notice (Future Business Opportunity, FBO No. 26LMS030) of a potential procurement of a vehicle-mounted 120mm mortar system. The requirement is for a non-developmental, mobile mortar system to equip three platoons. The estimated quantity is 12 systems (3 platoons of 4 each). Each system consists of a 4x4 UROVESA VAMTAC ST5 vehicle with an Armored Crew Cab and a fully integrated 120mm mortar system. The package includes Automated Fire Control, a C4I system, and on-board stowage and transport of 120mm mortar rounds. All vehicles and equipment must be newly manufactured. The procurement also covers operator and maintenance training, documentation (paper and electronic), special tools and test equipment, warranty, configuration management, ILS/maintenance and spare parts forecasts, and transportation to the user's warehouse. The quality assurance level is AQAP2110. The delivery period is 2028–2029 and includes initial provisioning, training and documentation. Delivery terms are DDP to the user's warehouse. All NATO nations are eligible supplier countries. The RFP is tentatively scheduled for release in October 2026. The deadline for this FBO is stated as 30 October 2026; however, the notice is published for information only and does not create any obligation to participate. Registration in the NSPA Source File is mandatory in order to submit bids. The competition will be based on technical and performance requirements to be provided at a later stage. A detailed description will be provided in the Statement of Work (SoW) to be released with the RFP, which is not provided here and contains additional terms and conditions.
