Summary

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has published Future Business Opportunity (FBO) No. 26LMS067 announcing a potential procurement for the supply and In-Service Support of thermal monoculars. The FBO is for information only. It is not a solicitation and does not commit NSPA to any procurement. Responding is not mandatory, and not responding does not prevent participation in a later Request for Proposal (RFP). NSPA intends to establish an Outline Agreement through an International Competitive Bidding RfP. The estimated quantity is 10,000 units, but NSPA makes no firm commitment to order any materiel or services. The maximum contract duration is 5 years. No estimated value is given. The device is a thermal observation monocular. It must detect a human target at a range of at least 600 m and support engaging enemy targets in all lighting conditions. It must be usable helmet-mounted on its own, helmet-mounted coaxially with an image intensifying monocular, or weapon-mounted in front of an optical day sight. The required quality assurance level is AQAP 2110, Ed. D. Registration in NSPA's Source File is mandatory to respond to any NSPA RFP. The notice was published on 28 October 2026 and lists a deadline of 30 November 2026. The FBO does not specify what this deadline refers to, and the procurement timeline may be amended by NSPA. No evaluation criteria are stated. Technical specifications will be provided in the Statement of Work when the RfP is published and are not covered in this summary.
